Small World

Yet another family I’ve come to love over the years. It’s funny to think of where we started and where we are today. From shy little boys who would hardly smile at the stranger behind the camera, to adopting the “look down, look up” method that works magically and guarantees a smile every time. When the opportunity to capture them in their most cherished place, the place they call home, I jumped at the chance. I had the added pleasure of having their parents join this time too. We chatted as I captured each new pose and image. As we sat discussing my family’s move, we made an unexpected connection that left us realizing just how small the world really can be.

When asked about the place I now call home, I expressed how little of a town we now lived in, and we uncovered the craziest of things…my tiny little, 2 blinking stoplight town, is the very same town they once called home. Whereas most people have never heard of my new hometown, it held a special place in their hearts and left me questioning, what are the odds…and knowing that they apparently are more than we could have ever expected.
