Worth the Drive

The Watkins have been chosen family for as long as I can remember. From sleepovers with 2 little girls who were each other’s first friends, to being there through all of life to this point, they were always there and supportive in every way. When Amy called and asked how far we lived from Wimberly, I immediately looked it up. I found that I was about one and a half hours from where they’d be celebrated Cyndy’s birthday. But I was determined to be the one who captured these memories for them. So, my middle daughter and I loaded up and made the drive. Just as always, they were there to come to my rescue when GPS fell short of getting us to them. Once there, we herded them through so the younger crowd wouldn’t lose interest. All went smoothly and we even were able to capture this silly photo of them, which perfectly embodies exactly how I remember them being growing up.
